Walk humbly with God: The walk we walk:

We are a community characterized by humility, gentleness, patience, love and peace. We strive to be humble as Jesus taught and strong in the faith without insisting on our own way. Jesus set the example for humility, and we strive to do as Jesus did. Although Jesus was humble and taught humility, he was also a man of internal and outward strength. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we listen to and respect each other’s point of view. We communicate with gentleness and patience.

In the book of James, we learn that, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” When we humble ourselves, we are strong in the Lord. We want to learn, understand, and be part of other cultures. It is not important that we have right answers, but simply that we approach life together in a righteous way. No matter the age, we choose an intentional life with Christ within our community and the world around us. We heed the call of daily strife and joy, and we answer back with a resounding voice of community and understanding.

Love kindness: A community of healing and love:

We seek to have a healing presence. We listen to each other’s joys, hopes, concerns, and sorrows, while providing a safe environment for healing. We grow emotionally and spiritually from the supportive relationships we share. We feel appreciated, understood, and gain confidence from this love and support. We know we make a difference in each other’s lives. We love one another as God first loved us.

With this confidence, we reach out to the world around us. God’s presence is there for all to witness. Healing can be what we do without knowing, simply by the way we care for one another. We do so by listening and the way we share our love with or without words. Our love of God and our love of others cannot be separated.

Do Justice: We are a Center of Service:

The Holy Spirit walks with us and guides us on this way to hear the needs and hopes of others within our community and those far removed. The world is often a frightening place, but God tells us to "go into" the world and take the Word with us. Our love overflows into the world through our service. We are dedicated to bringing new possibilities to fruition. We are inventive, flexible, aware of the real world, and fearless. We are a link from the Word of the Lord to the outside world, and we serve as a call to action for those in need. We want to share what we have.

God calls us to be peacemakers and seek justice in our own community as well as in the world. In response, we give freely of the time and talents God has first given us. We establish bridges of listening and understanding in our community. In a world full of cruelty and injustice, a world seemingly unaware of where to find hope and love, we are a family of believers who reach out. We embrace one another and share our vision.
