Music

Music is a vital and vibrant part of worship here at FPCE. Our goal is to provide not only music to enhance and elevate the worship experience, but also to provide congregants who so wish an opportunity to worship through the creation of music. We have a staff of professionals who are there to guide and assist the volunteers as they participate in the creation of music.

Chancel Choir

The choir participates in worship throughout the year, except the month of

August. It rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30 until 9 p.m. in the

fellowship hall, and they meet at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning to prepare for the

10 a.m. service. If you can’t make Thursday night, we run the music before the

service, and the music, along with YouTube links to performances of the music,

are available online and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. The

choir has two parties a year, a year-end garden/swim party and a kickoff party

at the start of the fall season. Call director Jim Raycroft (818)367-1939 for

more information.

Handbell Choir

Handbells are a unique and magical addition to the musical atmosphere of the

worship environment. The best part is that it doesn’t require musical training or

background. Anyone can play the bells, and everyone is welcome. The handbell

choir meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening before choir practice and rehearses for

an hour. Call director Sherron Corner (818)314-4501 for more information.
